Pitch Black® is a high-quality asphalt pavement sealer with a custom blend of carefully selected minerals, fillers, fibres, and a proprietary polymer. It is designed to provide superior asphalt maintenance by producing a highly adhesive, extremely flexible, and long-lasting black coating. The sealer has a firm body, is durable, and is free from carcinogenic materials and asbestos fibres. Additionally, this sealer’s expansion and contraction coefficient is identical to that of asphaltic concrete pavements, which means it naturally bonds well with them.
The sealer suits various asphalt pavement surfaces, including low-volume city streets, parking lots, highway shoulders, airport taxi-ways, tarmacs, aprons, bike paths, walkways, tennis courts, schools, and playgrounds. Pitch Black® weatherproofs porous asphalt surfaces, prevents water and oil penetration, and blocks harmful ultraviolet rays. It also fills small voids and seals in spalling particles, providing a smoother surface and improving water run-off.
The producers of Pitch Black® have specified the types and percentages of crude oils used in the asphalt emulsification process, and they use specific custom emulsifiers to produce a product that readily accepts minerals, fillers, and additives. This process results in a superior asphalt sealer with unique properties that create a hard, smooth, and long-lasting surface.
